Eadie Hill Trial Lawyers Files Wrongful Death Case Against Seven Hills Health and Rehab Center

Eadie Hill Trial Lawyers has filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on behalf of the Estate of Christine McKale. According to the complaint, the suit is against Seven Hills Healthcare Group LLC and Seven Hills Health and Rehab Center of Bedford Heights, Ohio, Saber Healthcare Group, LLC and Saber Healthcare Foundation, and GSR and WIW Dynasty LLCs.

According to the complaint, Christine McKale developed State IV pressure sores which she later died from on November 16, 2018. She was a resident at Saber Seven Hills Health and Rehab Center and they were responsible for McKale’s care and safety. The action alleges systemic understaffing, negligence, and recklessness on the part of Saber Seven Hills Health and Rehab Center staff and their responsible parties

Underlying Causes

The defendants used a practice called understaffing to maximize profits at the expense of residents’ care and safety. The defendants agreed to care for Christine McKale in exchange for payment. When she arrived at Seven Hills Healthcare she was not suffering from skin breakdowns, also known as pressure sores or bedsores. Seven Hills failed to meet her assistance needs as well as her safety needs.

We believe that she was the victim of understaffing because there is evidence of that the staff at Seven Hills failed to respond to the call lights for Christine McKale and other residents, they caused her to develop multiple pressure sores, they failed to properly treat the pressure sores, and there are allegations of physical abuse of Christine McKale. These are all signs pointing to systemic understaffing.

The practice of understaffing is always dangerous for residents. Nursing homes choose profit over the proper care of the people they are supposed to keep safe and healthy. When there is not enough staff to ensure that residents are safe, people get hurt, and even die.

 Our No Fear Guarantee

You’ve probably seen the lawyer ads: “No Fee Guarantee!” “No Fees if We Don’t Win!”

Guess what? That’s true for just about any plaintiff’s lawyer.  It’s what a “contingency fee” means.  It doesn’t mean they’ll work hard.  Or get a good result for you.  It doesn’t mean much at all.

What we promise you is a NO FEAR guarantee.

What does that mean?  For 99% of our clients, a medical injury caused by negligence is new.  The medical malpractice lawsuit process is new.  Depositions, discovery, trial . . . everything is new.

New can be scary.  Especially when it involves having to testify under oath.

We’ve developed systems that let you address and move past the fear. Through education and information about the process. Role-playing and other preparation techniques. We empower you to be fearless.  Because this process is hard enough.
